Match Amounts Minimum $10, Maximum $1,000, Match Ratio Up to 2:1. Blue Shield matches $1 for every $1 employees donate to eligible nonprofits, up to $1,000 per employee per year. Employees / donors should register their matching gift requests electronically at https://shieldcares.benevity.org/user/login. Blue Shield of California provides an additional match on donations made to select nonprofits if the employee also serves as a board member with the nonprofit. Organizations Addressing Healthcare: 2:1 match up to $5,000 (company contribution for Senior Staff & VPs, 2:1 match up to $3,000 (company contribution for all other employees, Civic and Community Organizations: 1:1 match up to $2,500 for Senior Staff & VPs, 1:1 match up to $1,500 for all other employees.
