Match Amounts Minimum $25, Maximum $1,400, Match Ratio 1:1. NRG Energy matches employee donations to most nonprofits. There are two categories Target Nonprofit Match Program: Individuals can request up to $1,000 in matching funds annually for donations that fall into one of NRG Energy’s target nonprofits categories. Non-target Nonprofit Match Program: Donations made to all other 501(c(3 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $250 annually per employee. NRG employees can submit match requests for donations made at any point in the last twelve months. Donors should register their matching gift requests electronically at https://nrg.yourcause.com. NRG offers two types of volunteer grants for employees who volunteer in their communities: 1. Dollars for Hours NRG Energy will donate $2 per every hour that an employee volunteers with an organization (up to $100. 2. TEAMNRG NRG will make a $2,000 grant to organizations for which a team of six or more employees participate in a fundraising event.
