One in four children under the age of five suffers from undernutrition, which can lead to long-term damage. Sadly, world hunger is an issue that’s persistent through the years, no matter the time of year or where you are in the world. No matter what amount of time or resources you can commit, your employees can make an impact for those facing hunger.

Our partner Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) makes giving back easy. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.

As you’re looking to engage your employees and inspire them to give in your workplace campaign, consider partnering with FMSC. When kids have access to nutritious meals, they thrive; from focusing on school to developing new skills, your support has a ripple effect throughout their lives.

Employee Engagement Offering: Meal Packing Events
You can turn hunger into hope with your own two hands by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world. Volunteers with this faith-based charity hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables, and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags, which FMSC distributes to a network of 75+ partners in 55+ countries.

And these aren’t just cans of food and supplies that may spoil or need to be repackaged based on needs; you’ll be packaging MannaPack meals, which are meal formulas developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. With these prepared meal formulas, kids of all ages will have access to nutrient-dense meals to support their growth.

You can pack meals with your workplace at any of Feed My Starving Children’s eight permanent packing sites or by hosting or joining a MobilePack event, a meal kit packing event that can be hosted anywhere. If you host one of these events, you’ll commit to recruit volunteers from your workplace and community, set up all the details for the event venue, and provide the funding for 100,000 MannaPack meals. You can also view a list of upcoming MobilePack events on Feed My Starving Children’s website to donate and get involved with local events without hosting one yourself.

On the day of your packing event, your employees will join together to pack thousands of meals, a tangible way to make a difference for kids in need around the world.

Feed My Starving Children has years of experience working with corporate groups to pack meal kits – in fact, they recently hit a big milestone with corporate partners at their Fargo MobilePack event.

Case Study
The Fargo MobilePack has been an important event on the FMSC for years, but this year, the FargoPack team had the idea to mark their 10th event with a 10-million-meal goal — by far the largest event goal in MobilePack history.

FMSC MobilePack staff and the FargoPack event host team worked tirelessly to make this event a reality, from finding where to house the 1.5 million pounds of ingredients needed to pack all 10 million meals, to figuring out how to properly staff a 10-day event.

For 10 days in January 2024, thousands of volunteers from across the Fargo area worked tirelessly to pack MannaPack meals for children in need around the world. Over 40 corporations participated in the Fargo MobilePack event in January, including employees from Microsoft, US Bank, Wells Fargo, Home Depot, Merrill Lynch, and more.
