When hurricanes Beryl, Debby, Francine, and Helene struck within 3 months of each other, Global Impact worked side by side with multiple clients to quickly open application portals for affected employees around the country. Key actions included: 

  • Rapid Response: Ensuring employees were aware of and could access the Employee Assistance Funds within their own companies. 

  • Financial Assistance: Facilitating the distribution of assistance grant payments directly to individuals impacted by the recent disasters. 

  • Global Support: Establishing custom-branded online donation platforms and processing gifts from donors worldwide to support affected employees. 

  • Additional Services: Offering services beyond financial grants, which included counseling services, food and water donations, and more. 

The Impact: Supporting Employees in Times of Need 

The results of Global Impact’s Employee Assistance Fund offering have been significant already this fall: 

  • Processed Submissions: Over 1,500 applications were received through client program portals. 

  • Financial Aid Distributed: Over $1,000,000 was distributed directly to individuals as of October 8, 2024.
