Since 2001, the Charities@Work partnership hosted annual summits, convening corporate professionals working in corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, volunteering, citizenship, community relations, diversity and inclusion, and social impact. Charities@Work was unique, created by and for social impact leaders, yet vendor, partner and platform agnostic.

The annual Charities@Work Employee Engagement Summit provided peer-to-peer learning and authentic, effective exchange among corporate practitioners, thought leaders, and partners. Charities@Work filled a gap, providing rare practical training for emerging leaders plus a forum to tackle the toughest challenges for seasoned professionals, all with the goal of increasing greater social impact together. This partnership was instrumental in driving open choice workplace giving campaigns and leading the way on all aspects of employee engagement, from impact metrics to integrating diversity and inclusion, to harnessing employee activism.

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Summit became virtual “Candid Conversations” (charitiesatwork.org/candidconversations) video calls, which were made possible thanks to generous sponsorship from Comcast NBCUniversal and Guardian Life.

As we enter a new decade, we have decided to end this annual in-person summit, while celebrating success and our long legacy together.

CHC: Creating Healthier Communities (formerly Community Health Charities), EarthShare and Global Impact have been proud to host this unique collaboration and support this vital corporate citizenship network. Our organizations represent more than 3,000 leading health, environmental, global and community nonprofits making a difference in the U.S. and around the world, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Nature Conservancy and UNICEF USA. We are grateful to the Charities@Work advisory council, more than 1,500 corporate leaders who have attended over the years, speakers, sponsors, staff, and strategic partners, such as Realized Worth, who have made this event so successful.

Although Charities@Work is dissolving, all our organizations will continue to advance corporate social responsibility, equity and justice, and employee engagement initiatives. The deep relationships built with corporate social impact leaders over these past 20 years will go with us into the future. We look forward to the future and new ways we will work together to engage leading companies, their employees and communities. Stay connected with us, and thank you for your support over the past 20 years.
