The current Ebola crisis continues to spread across the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Since the beginning of the outbreak in August 2018, there have been 2,546 reported cases and more than 1,705 fatalities. In July 2019, the disease entered Goma, a major transportation hub and a city of more than two million people.

On July 17, The World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a “public health emergency of international concern” – the fifth time a global health emergency has been issued in history.

Efforts to contain and end the crisis are ongoing and responders and victims are in need of aid. Our charity partners are providing support.
