You’ll be primarily responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations for Capital for Good (CfG) and Global Impact Social Welfare Fund (GISWF), and project accounting within the Operations Finance & Accounting team. The director manages day-to-day financial operations, project accounting activities, deliverables, and staff to ensure accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, compliance, and strong internal controls across assigned entities and programs. This role will work closely with the existing Director, Finance & Accounting to support operational excellence, strengthen internal processes, and ensure alignment across finance and project accounting functions.
Qualifying for this role means you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 10+ years of progressive accounting and nonprofit finance experience. You have experience managing operational accounting functions, project accounting, grant accounting, and financial reporting within a multi-entity environment. Experience with donor grant agreements, restricted funding, revenue recognition, audit preparation, and international program financial oversight is strongly preferred.
You have demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with NetSuite, Bill/Divvy, and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills, is preferred.
This is a full-time position and may be fully remote, with travel to headquarters in Washington, DC for team meetings on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in our Washington, DC headquarters office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $140,000-$150,000, depending on the experience you have. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
