Accounts Payable Payment Specialist, Finance and Business Services

As an Accounts Payable Payment Specialist, you’ll manage all vendor payments for Finance and Business Services (FBS) clients and work closely with other members of the FBS team to ensure timely and accurate payment information. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with FBS accounting team to finalize weekly payment release reports  
  • Supervises and coordinates with Accounts Payable Vendor Management Associate to ensure banking information is complete and accurate  
  • Facilitates both domestic and international payments 
  • Troubleshoots payment issues as needed  
  • Liaises with banking representatives for troubleshooting support  
  • Sets up wires for international and other payments not supported by payment processing system  
  • Generates weekly payment reports

Qualifications

Qualifying for this role means you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education or experience. Both domestic and international payments and currencies experience are required. You’re proficient in the use of Excel, Office 365, QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite, Bill.com, FISPAN, banking platforms, and accounts payable. Experience with international nonprofit organizations is preferred. This newly created support role for Global Impact’s FBS team and our clients requires the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive situations with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy. This is a fast-paced role, managing multiple tasks and competing obligations. You’ll work independently but have a supportive manager who appreciates questions to ensure your accuracy and comfort with the tasks and deadlines.

This is a full-timeposition and may be fully remote, with travel to headquarters in Washington, D.C. for team meetings on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in our Washington, D.C. office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $75,000 – $85,000, depending on the experience you bring. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
