On Dec. 12 we launched Global Impact Ventures, a family of mission-driven organizations that serve all of philanthropy for a better world. We had the opportunity to ask Scott Jackson, President and CEO, what this new branding means for our staff, partners, clients, and the larger philanthropy field. See his insights below:

Q: What changes have been made with the inauguration of Global Impact Ventures? 
A: Rather than a name change, Global Impact Ventures is an integration of all our organizations – Global Impact, Geneva Global, Capital for Good, and GI Social Welfare Fund, along with our international-affiliated organizations Global Impact UK, Canada, and Australia – under one umbrella. This change now unifies our brands, services, and staff, but also protects the unique value each organization brings to the marketplace.

Q: What sets Global Impact Ventures apart from others doing similar work? 
A: Each brand offers a distinct area of expertise in the philanthropy field. Across our family of organizations, we serve nonprofits, the corporate and public sectors, individual and family philanthropies, foundations, donor collaboratives, fiscally sponsored programs, AND start-up charitable initiatives – making us the most comprehensive end-to-end solution for every philanthropy need.

Q: What excites you most about this new branding?
A: When I started with Global Impact more than a decade ago, I couldn’t have imagined the growth and success we’d see in the coming years. Just since 2020, we’ve added Geneva Global and Capital for Good to our family, formed GI Social Welfare Fund to expand our fiscal sponsorship programming, added new clients and service offerings, and doubled our staff. We knew having a framework that unified our brands, services, and our staff would be key to our growth and integration as a team. These rebranding efforts have been in the works for over a year and have touched almost every department, so I want to thank everyone who played a part in these efforts. Thank you for contributing to our growth over the years we’ve been together.

As we look ahead, I’m excited about what we have to offer the world of philanthropy. Together, we’re stronger. Together, we inspire greater giving. Together, we bring powerful results.
