After we decided that our philanthropic efforts should reflect shared values with our corporate purpose, we turned to Global Impact for support and advice. Our journey began with evaluating our programs and direct interviews with various stakeholders including our employees around the world. Once we confirmed our pillars and evaluated social partners and found opportunities to explore, we launched the Tyco Cares Foundation. Ultimately our collaboration led to the decision by the Board to increase significantly the size of our endowment.
