Scott Jackson

President and CEO
Scott Jackson is the President and CEO of Global Impact and leads Global Impact Ventures, a family of mission-driven organizations, including Global Impact, Geneva Global, Capital for Good, GI Social Welfare Fund, and Global Impact international affiliates. Jackson is a global philanthropy, fundraising, communications, and marketing veteran with more than 25 years of experience. He oversees Global Impact’s advisory and infrastructure services that support charitable ventures across the philanthropic sector, including high-net-worth donors and family offices, donor collaboratives, corporate grantmaking, fiscal sponsorship, employee engagement, and nonprofit organizations. He provides leadership, direction, and oversight for Global Impact, which has raised nearly $2.5 billion with our partners for global causes.

Jackson has held leadership positions in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, having overseen work in more than 60 countries. Jackson also served on a number of boards and advisory councils for both the nonprofit and private sectors. He currently works closely with the leadership of more than 85 international nonprofit organizations which are members of the Global Impact Charity Alliance, including CARE, Save the Children, and World Vision. Jackson also works closely with a number of Fortune 500 and multinational companies, and the midmarket, in their grantmaking, employee giving, employee engagement, and corporate social responsibility/ESG activities.

Jackson is the author of the multi-award-winning 2017 book “Take Me With You,” which was rereleased with new content in 2021. It is a moving, personal story written to inspire people to take action and find the “charity within” — his personal philosophy of choosing to live in a way that improves life for others.

He has been recognized with a number of awards, including the Center for Nonprofit Advancement Outstanding Leader Award. Jackson’s work has been at the center of bringing together the nonprofit, public, and private sectors for global initiatives.

Prior to joining Global Impact, Jackson spent five years serving as Vice President of External Relations at PATH. Before joining PATH in 2006, Jackson was Senior Vice President at World Vision US where he directed external relations, key partnerships, community relations, and strategic initiatives. He managed a fundraising portfolio of more than $60 million. Prior, Jackson served as President and Managing Director of APCO Seattle, a worldwide public affairs and strategic communications consulting firm. Earlier, in 1989, he founded his own company, TRADEC (Trade and Development Consortium), one of the first marketing and communications firms in North America to specialize in international trade promotion and market access. TRADEC later became part of APCO.

During his early career, Jackson served in leadership positions to a U.S. congressman, and has held a number of roles in national politics. He has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, and the Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Jackson received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Edinburgh School of International Business, where he attended as a Rotary International Ambassador Scholar. He also holds an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of Puget Sound. Prior, he received a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Puget Sound.
