Obstetric fistula is a childbirth injury that destroys a woman’s life. When a woman’s labor is obstructed and she cannot access emergency care such as a C-section, a fistula can develop. It leaves a woman incontinent and too often shunned by her community. At least one million women in Africa and Asia suffer needlessly from untreated fistula.
