It was in 1940 when UUSC’s founders, Martha and Waitstill Sharp, helped thousands of refugees escape war-torn Europe. Now, UUSC continues their brave legacy, centering the rights of people most affected by injustice by joining hands with grassroots groups and local leaders in the U.S. and around the world.
