Asef lost his right leg in a mine explosion in Herat, Afghanistan. Working with Humanity & Inclusion’s team, Asef was fitted for a new artificial limb and participated in physical therapy sessions to strengthen his muscles and learn to walk again. He walks to the mosque each day for his religious classes with other boys from the neighborhood.
