After spending years in poverty, Agnes Luweesi never imaged life could be different. But after receiving a cow from Heifer International, things took a turn for the better. The cow provided milk, money and reproduced — allowing her to pass on a calf to a neighbor in need. Now, with four cows, Agnes’ dairy business is going strong. The sale of milk has enabled her to build a new home, and she provides free milk to malnourished children in her neighborhood.
