Female genital mutilation/ Cutting (FGM/C) is a dangerous and traumatic rite of passage practiced in 28 African countries today. It has no health benefits and can lead to death. It leaves survivors with lifelong mental and health struggles. FGM/C forces many girls, like Phoebe, into child marriages. This causes them to drop out of school, destroying their dreams for the future. But hope is rising. Brave young women are standing up as anti-FGM champions, educating their communities and driving change. Your support can train these advocates or help cutters find new livelihoods. Together, we can end FGM and protect the futures of millions of girls.
