Senior Accountant, Intercompany Accounts

As a Senior Accountant for Intercompany Accounts, you’ll be responsible for collecting, reconciling, and summarizing accounting information, entering data into different accounting software, and preparing preliminary financial reports in an intercompany environment. 

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Senior Accountant who demonstrates the ability to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and close processes for assigned clients. This role is ideal for a collaborative finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and brings strong full-cycle accounting experience to support accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations.

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients, including financial transaction recording, month-end and year-end close processes, preliminary financial statements, and budget variance reporting.
  • Oversee and record intercompany transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain general ledger activity for client-related entries, including account reconciliations, close entries, and grant tracking.
  • Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and other general ledger accounts, as needed.
  • Prepare day-to-day and month-end close journal entries.
  • Support grant tracking and reporting for restricted and unrestricted client funds.
  • Reconcile monthly client credit card activity.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of each assigned client’s accounting operations, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Track and maintain vendor and subgrantee contracts and prepare required reporting.
  • Assist with preparation of annual Form 990 filings, related tax forms such as 1099s, and audit support materials. 

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of proven experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
  • Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
  • Experience working in finance and/or with affiliated 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP is a significant plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and professionalism.

The salary range is $80,000 – $85,000 depending on the experience you have. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
