Manager, Vendor Contracts

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate with the ability to oversee vendor contract intake, preliminary compliance review, contract workflow coordination, and related process improvements. This role will manage the Asana-based contract and change order submission system, support finance and compliance review processes, and serve as a key liaison among internal teams, vendors, and operations leadership. This will entail 1200-1500 contracts annually for our fiscally sponsored projects under Finance & Business Services. This is a newly created role to support our growing business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Asana-based vendor contract and change order submission system
  • Conduct preliminary compliance review of all vendor contract requests
  • Flag and triage any identified compliance issue with Director, Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee process flow for finance review
  • Draft preliminary contracts and liaise with projects and vendors as needed
  • Collaborate with team on contract execution and post-execution tasks
  • Supervise Compliance Administrative Associate related to vendor contracts
  • Maintain SOPs for current contract flow and manage the design and implementation of new or adapted contract flows

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in similar roles.
  • Experience working in compliance, contracting, finance and/or leadership with affiliated 501(C)3 and 501(C)(4) organizations.
  • Extreme attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow through and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to be agile as the job requires.
  • Strong technical proficiency with Asana and Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive situations with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be inquisitive and intuitive.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing obligations.
  • Efficient and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with staff at all levels.

Employees local to Washington, D.C., work 1-2 days per week in the headquarters office. Otherwise, this role can be remote. Visa sponsorship is not available.
