Accounting Manager, Finance & Business Services

The Accounting Manager will be responsible formanagingtheaccounting and finance functions of Global Impact for the Finance & Business Services (FBS) department. They will manage fiscal sponsorship and fiscal agency client communicationand deliverablesandmanageFBSstaffto ensure that all necessary compliance activities are fulfilled.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day internal controls and operations, leading team members in thedepartment
  • Review and issuetimelyclient deliverables with analysis to ensureaccurateinformation has been recorded and reported to clients andstakeholders
  • Client cash and investment management
  • Develop and manage annual budget and cash forecastingsystemforclients
  • Manage audit and tax process for entities and complete reporting forentities on atimelybasis
  • Manage and coach theaccountingstaff; ensure the team deliversthehighest standard of departmental, cross-departmental, and external teamwork as well as customer service 
  • Manage fiscal services client relationshipsandstakeholders (legal, insurance, IT, bankingcommittees and board members) on behalf ofclients
  • Supervision of Senior Accountants

Qualifications

Qualifying for this role meansyou have abachelorsdegreeinaccountingor related field and810 years ofprogressive, nonprofitexperience inaccounting. You haveexperience with donor grant agreements, grant management, andrestricted grant accounting (including net asset tracking and indirect allocation accounting). You have knowledge of banking cash management systems,QuickBooksOnlineand/orNetSuite, Bill.com, and MS Office includingin-depthuse of Excel.

This is a full-timeposition and may be fully remote, with travel to headquarters in Washington, D.C. for team meetings on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in ourWashington, D.C.headquarters office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $105,000-$120,000, depending on the experience you have. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
