Joseph Crupi

Since Joe Crupi’s retirement from Texas Instruments (TI) in February 2004, he has become very active in a number of different charitable activities including serving on the Board of Directors for Global Impact. He also supports Southeastern Guide Dogs, Mote Marine, Faith Bark Inc., and Mayo Clinic. Crupi and his wife, Vickie, enjoy many outdoor activities including being avid sailors.

Crupi became part of the TI team in 1999 when the company completed its acquisition of Telogy Networks. In January 2001, he was promoted to Vice President to lead TI’s activities in the Broadband communications market, which included cable modems, DSL modems, wireless LAN and voice-over packet solutions.

Crupi joined Telogy in 1996 as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President and was promoted in June 1997 to President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. Prior to that, Crupi was responsible for all of AT&T’s International Data Services. In 1994, he was Senior Vice President of AT&T Paradyne Access Products, where he was responsible for development, marketing and support of the sale of network access products to consumers, commercial end users and network services providers worldwide. Earlier, Crupi served as Vice President at AT&T Paradyne’s Advanced Transmission Technologies Business, preceded by a series of progressively responsible positions with AT&T.

He received a Master of Science degree in management as an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow at the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Crupi received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
