Born in 1982 in Damascus, Syria with a diploma in business administration, Lara sought refuge in Jordan with her family in 2012. As the head of her household, she started looking for job opportunities when she arrived, but unfortunately, she couldn’t join the market due to the government restrictions. Therefore, she started thinking of
having her own business and network with other Syrian women who face similar barriers. Lara has joined UMR’s Jasmine project and is now the bread winner for her family, making a monthly income with other 40 other ladies enrolled in the Jasmine project. Lara is the team leader of the project who inspires other women to follow her footsteps to success.
