AMERICAN REFUGEE COMMITTEE: HAUS and ARC - Stylists Travel to Thailand
In 2015 the ARC team in Thailand started teaching hairdressers in Nu Po Camp in Thailand how to recognize signs of domestic and sexual abuse and how to help their clients make it to clinics, counseling and other critical services. When HAUS Salon stylists heard about the work of their fellow hairdressers, they new they had to give back. Led by husband and husband team, Brent Love from ARC and Charlie Brackney from HAUS Salon, the HAUS community raised almost $30,000 for the program. Then a team of stylists traveled to Nu Po to teach an American hairdressing workshop to refugee hairdressers.
