Renée S. Acosta to Speak at the Fourth Annual Women & Leadership Event Hosted by Anne Arundel Women Giving Together
Alexandria, VA (March 2, 2011) - Global Impact President and CEO Renée S. Acosta will discuss critical challenges facing women and children globally, along with potential solutions, at Anne Arundel Women Giving Together's (AAWGT) fourth annual Women & Leadership event March 9, 2011.
As the world marks International Women's Day on March 8, the women who make up the AAWGT giving circle will use their March 9 event to bring awareness to the challenges and accomplishments of women and children internationally, while also drawing connections to the challenges confronting many women in local communities of the U.S. The theme of the event is "Connecting to the Global Community: Lessons from Abroad."
As an international giving expert and long-time philanthropist, Ms. Acosta will speak on a variety of topics including her personal experiences working in international development and successful strategies for meeting the needs of women and children worldwide. Ms. Acosta will also share grantmaking best practices that positively impact communities in need.
