Ahmad, 10, fled his home in Syria and now lives in Jordan's Zaatari refugee camp. In a Mercy Corps safe space in the camp, Ahmad learns and plays alongside other children while receiving the support he needs to deal with the stress of being forced from his home. More than half of all Syrian refugees in Jordan are children under 18.
27-year-old Burmese activist Khun Khit San is leading his generation to build a more just society. He co-founded AJWS grantee Kaung Rwai Social Action Network (KSAN), which trains Shan State youth like himself to become activists, community leaders and human rights educators.
