Senior Accountant: Grant Management

As a Senior Accountant, you’re primarily responsible for collecting, reconciling, and summarizing accounting information, entering data into different accounting software, and generating financial reports for international and grant-recipient clients. 

Responsibilites

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates the ability to be responsible for: 

  • Month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Creating and monitoring annual budgets
  • Reviewing, approving and monitoring accounts payable and receivables
  • Maintaining general ledger for client-related entries
  • Developing and maintaining accounting operations
  • Serving as main point of contact for client financial needs: project management support, vendor and sub-grantee contracts, reporting, auditing, preparing 990 and related tax forms
  • Operational needs: liaising with internal departments such as IT and HR/Payroll

Qualifications

    You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration and 4+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and nonprofit accounting. A CPA or CPA candidate is desirable. Proficient in the use of Excel, Office 365, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com and banking platforms.  Hands-on experience with grant management and tracking, as well as international nonprofit organizations, is preferred.
