Accounting Manager:  Grantmaking - c4Operations 

The Accounting Manager for grantmaking and C4 accounts manages the accounting and finance functions of Global Impact for the Finance & Business Services (FBS) Department. The Accounting Manager manages fiscal sponsor and fiscal agency clients with a focus on grantmaking to and from both 501 c 3 and 501 c 4 organizations (the latter through our partner C4 organization, Global Impact Social Welfare Fund).

Responsibilites

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates the ability to: 

  • Focus on grantmaking to both 501 c 3 and 501 c 4 organizations, fiscal service client delivery and client relationship management.
  • Analyze and oversee financial cash management and some potential investment management.
  • Collaborate with budget development and financial components of grant applications.
  • Report and comply with GAAP or IFRS as needed.
  • Manage all organization audit, tax and compliance filings.

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in nonprofit accounting with both 501 c 3 and 501 c 4 orgs required. A CPA or MBA candidate is desirable.
  • Experience with donor grant agreements, grant management and restricted grant accounting (including net asset tracking and indirect allocation accounting) is required.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Office 365, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com and banking platforms.

Visa sponsorship is not available. Full-time position with the potential to be fully remote – eastern or central time zone hours required. If you are local to the Alexandria, VA, office 1-2 days per week in the office is required.

The salary range is $110,000 – $120,000.
