Stan M. Harrell is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Chamber’s Management Committee.
As CFO, Harrell leads a team of professionals who support the mission of the Chamber. He maintains best practices in communications with each Chamber Board and management group, designs proactive measurement and evaluation tools, and implements member-focused financial analyses and budget processes. Under Harrell’s tenure, Chamber revenues have increased from $60 million to $250 million.
As CIO, Harrell has transformed the Chamber’s application and network infrastructure. Through numerous state-of-the-art solutions, he enables the organization to utilize technology to accomplish its members’ objectives.
Prior to joining the Chamber in 1998, Harrell was Vice President of Finance and Information Technology at the American Trucking Associations in Alexandria, Virginia, for 10 years. He began his professional career with KPMG in Houston. Harrell serves as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of each of the Chamber-affiliated organizations. In addition, he is on the Board of Global Impact.
Harrell received his Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University, maintains his CPA license from the state of Texas and graduated with honors from the University of Southern Mississippi. Harrell and his wife live in Alexandria, Virginia, and have two children.
