Mark J. Milligan serves as Managing Director of Finance for Global Impact. He oversees finance and accounting, program support, and product development activities for the organization. With more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit finance, Milligan provides expertise in the areas of financial and project management; grant implementation, contracts development, information systems and networks operations; and internal controls. Milligan possesses extensive experience and transformative leadership skills from his years working with charities, associations and foundations that include the National Association of Elementary School Principals; American Council on Renewable Energy; National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association; Croplife America; Insurance Institute for Highway Safety; and Whitman-Walker Clinic.
Since joining Global Impact in November 2010, he continues to play an integral role in the management of a diverse project portfolio that includes administration and management of secretariat, advisory, fund, campaign, workplace giving, fiscal agent and distribution services. Moreover, Milligan provides important insight into developing and executing efficiencies and implementing business systems.
A native of the Washington, D.C., area, Milligan grew up in Rockville, Maryland. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. He earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting, magna cum laude from Strayer University. He is also an active member of American Institute of CPAs and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs.
